I adopted my dog Reese when she was three months old from Wayside Waifs. After the first year, we noticed she was losing a lot of her hair and seemed to be growing bumps on her skin. After many trips to the vet and expensive tests, the vet told us that the bumps aren’t hurting her and it must be from the breeds she is mixed with. Everywhere I took her to get groomed, the groomers would barely touch her and would often look at her like she was some diseased dog. I brought her to Four Paws to bathe her and get her nails clipped one time, and I haven’t been anywhere else since. I walked in and the staff immediately got down to her level and talked to her and picked her up and pet her. I felt so loved and valued as a customer. I didn’t feel like there was anything wrong with her at that point, but that she was just another dog. When the staff allowed my dog to lick them on the face and then gave her a treat on the way out, meant the world.
