Comfy and cozy elevated beds for pets
Doggie Cots got its start in late 2013. Thanks to help from sponsors, they constructed more than 45 doggie cots that were donated to Kansas City metropolitan area animal shelters. The shelters were in desperate need for elevated dog beds to keep the pups off of the cold, sometimes wet and dirty, floors.
As you know, animal shelters rely on charitable donations to rescue animals and care for them. Doggie Cots donated several beds to various fundraisers to be auctioned off and funds donated to hosting organizations. Fundraiser participants started asking where they could find Doggie Cots for their pets. Soon, a charitable hobby turned into a locally owned business.
Today, Doggie Cots sells elevated pet beds of all sizes for dogs and cats, as well as kitty towers. Elevated cots help keep pets cool in the summer by improving air flow around the animal, and warmer in the winter by getting them off cold floors and away from drafts. Also, elevated beds are good for seniors with their soft surface, which relieves pressure on the joints. The elevation makes it easier for senior animals with joint issues to get in and out of bed. The bed surface is comfortable, furniture-grade fabric stretched across a PVC frame, providing a soft, flexible surface. Proceeds from every Doggie Cot sold goes right back into buying materials and supplies to expand fabric choices, develop new products, and most importantly, to continue to donate to rescue organizations for their animals and fundraisers.
