We having been buying our pet food from 4 Paws for many years. So when we got a new dog, our first stop was 4 Paws. In March we adopted Elmo a 6 1/2 year old Greyhound. We knew when we adopted him that Elmo was underweight and had apparently been that way for a number of years. We subsequently discovered that Elmo did not seem to be able to absorb sufficient nutrition from his food to gain weight. Working with 4 Paws staff we tried different kibble foods with different protein levels, protein sources as well as supplements. Through all of this over the past 4 months the staff patiently dealt with Elmo’s Dad’s questions and frustration with trying to help Elmo be healthier.
The final combination of a diet of half Acana kibble and half Bravo Balanced Raw with Flora4 supplement did the trick. In a month Elmo gained 6 lbs, he no longer looks too thin and his digestion has significantly improved. Elmo will always be a 4 Paws dog. Elmo also loves shopping at 4 Paws too. The staff greats him with an enthusiastic smile and showers him with attention which he just loves. Even got his first bath and nail trim at 4 Paws too.
